NAD+ Subcutaneous Therapy

100 mg / mL Injectable Solution

NAD+ is a coenzyme, not a peptide. We include it in our portfolio because it complements peptide protocols and supports the cellular foundation those therapies depend on.

NAD+ is present in every cell of your body — essential for energy, DNA repair, and the cellular signals that govern aging. Levels decline by up to half between your 20s and 50s. Subcutaneous NAD+ therapy supports the cellular foundation that everything else depends on.

What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every living cell in your body. It is one of the most important molecules in human biology — essential for converting the food you eat into the energy your cells use, repairing DNA damage, and regulating the cellular signals that govern aging.

The challenge: NAD+ levels decline significantly with age. Research suggests adults in their 50s have roughly half the NAD+ levels they had in their 20s. This decline is recognized as a meaningful contributor to many of the cellular hallmarks of aging — slower energy production, reduced cellular repair, and the gradual loss of metabolic resilience.

Subcutaneous NAD+ therapy delivers the coenzyme directly, supporting the cellular machinery that depends on it — without requiring an in-clinic IV infusion.

How It Works

NAD+ supports cellular health through several critical roles:

  • Energy production — required for mitochondria to convert nutrients into ATP, your cellular energy currency
  • DNA repair — fuels the enzymes that repair daily DNA damage from normal cellular activity, environmental stress, and aging
  • Sirtuin activation — sirtuins are "longevity" proteins that depend on NAD+ to function; they regulate cellular aging, metabolism, and stress response
  • Cellular signaling — supports communication between cells and helps regulate inflammatory and metabolic responses
  • Mitochondrial health — supports the mitochondria themselves, which are central to energy, longevity, and resilience

What Patients Use NAD+ For

NAD+ is often used as a foundational therapy that supports everything else — energy, recovery, aging, and performance.

Energy Levels

Mental and physical stamina — supporting the cellular energy production that everything else depends on

Mental Clarity

Focus, cognitive sharpness, and easier mornings — often among the first effects patients notice

Healthy Aging

Supporting the cellular processes that decline with age — addressing aging at its most fundamental level

Recovery

From exercise, illness, and daily stress — cellular repair and resilience at the mitochondrial level

Athletic Performance

Supporting mitochondrial function and energy production during high training loads and demanding seasons

Metabolic Health

Supporting metabolic resilience, cellular efficiency, and the regulatory pathways that maintain metabolic balance

Subcutaneous Injection vs. IV Infusion

Both routes deliver NAD+ effectively. For most patients pursuing sustainable, long-term cellular support, subcutaneous injection is the more practical choice.

Dosing Context

NAD+ is administered as a subcutaneous injection — a quick, at-home process that takes just minutes. Many patients dose in the morning to take advantage of the energy and clarity benefits throughout the day.

Most clinicians recommend a loading period of 4–8 weeks with higher frequency dosing, followed by an ongoing maintenance schedule. Because NAD+ supports continuous cellular processes, many patients continue indefinitely at a maintenance dose rather than cycling on and off.

Your 100 mg / mL vial provides flexibility across typical loading and maintenance protocols. Your clinician will prescribe your exact protocol based on your goals and health profile.

What to Expect

NAD+ often produces noticeable effects relatively quickly — many patients notice a difference within the first week or two — with cumulative cellular benefits building over months.

  • First sessions
    Energy and clarity lift

Many patients describe feeling a "lift" — improved mental clarity, energy, and focus — within the first week or two. Some notice this almost immediately; for others it builds gradually over the first several sessions.

  • Weeks 2–4
    Stable higher baseline

Energy and stamina often stabilize at a higher baseline. Many patients report better mental sharpness, easier mornings, and improved recovery from exercise and daily demands.

  • Weeks 4–8
    Cumulative cellular effects

Patients often describe a sense of "I just feel like myself again" or "I have the energy I used to have." The deeper cellular benefits of restored NAD+ levels become increasingly apparent.

  • Ongoing
    Long-term foundational support

NAD+ is often used as a long-term foundational therapy. Many patients continue with maintenance dosing because the cellular benefits of supporting NAD+ levels are continuous rather than episodic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is NAD+ a peptide?
No — NAD+ is a coenzyme (a small organic molecule), not a peptide. We include it in our peptide and wellness portfolio because it pairs naturally with peptide protocols and supports the cellular foundation that those therapies depend on.
What's the difference between NAD+ and NMN or NR?
NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) and NR (nicotinamide riboside) are NAD+ precursors — your body has to convert them into NAD+ before they can be used. They are typically taken as oral supplements. NAD+ injections deliver the active molecule directly, bypassing the conversion step. Both approaches have value; injection delivers more directly.
Will I feel any sensations during the injection?
NAD+ IV infusions are well-known for producing intense sensations — chest pressure, flushing, GI discomfort — particularly when run too quickly. Subcutaneous injection delivers NAD+ more gradually, and most patients tolerate it without these sensations. Mild warmth or slight injection-site sensitivity is the most common report.
How is it administered?
Subcutaneous injection (just under the skin), typically 2–5 times per week depending on your protocol. Most patients self-administer at home — quick and well-tolerated.
Can I stack NAD+ with peptides?
Yes — and it's a very common pairing. NAD+ supports the cellular energy and repair machinery, while peptides target specific physiologic systems. Common stacks include NAD+ with growth hormone peptides (CJC-1295/Ipamorelin or Sermorelin), recovery peptides (BPC-157, TB-500), or aesthetic peptides (GHK-Cu, Glow). Your clinician will help you build a coherent protocol.
Are there side effects?
NAD+ is generally well-tolerated. Most commonly reported effects are mild flushing shortly after injection, occasional minor injection site reactions, and rarely mild fatigue early in the protocol as the body adjusts. The intense GI and chest-pressure sensations associated with IV NAD+ are uncommon with subcutaneous administration.
Will it interfere with my medications or supplements?
NAD+ is a substance your body produces naturally, so it doesn't typically cause meaningful interactions. However, your clinician will review your medications and supplements during consultation to identify any individual considerations.
Is NAD+ FDA-approved?
NAD+ is not an FDA-approved finished medication. It is prescribed off-label and prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies for individual patients.

Who Should Not Use NAD+

NAD+ may not be appropriate for individuals who:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have an active cancer diagnosis or recent history of cancer (theoretical concern — discuss with your oncologist)
  • Have specific contraindications identified during clinical evaluation

Your clinician will review your full health history during your consultation to determine candidacy.
