Healing, Recovery & Injury Repair

BPC-157

3 mg / 1 mL — 5 mL vial

One of the most widely used peptides in regenerative medicine. BPC-157 supports the body's natural repair processes — from tendons and ligaments to gut lining — by working with your existing healing machinery, not overriding it.

What is BPC-157?

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic peptide composed of 15 amino acids. Its sequence is derived from a protective protein found naturally in human gastric juice. Researchers first isolated the parent compound while studying why the stomach lining is so resilient to acid and injury — and synthetic BPC-157 was developed as a tool to study and harness that protective effect.

It has become one of the most widely used peptides in regenerative and recovery-focused practices, particularly among athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals managing chronic soft-tissue irritation.

Because BPC-157 is a peptide (not a steroid or hormone), it works with your body's existing repair machinery rather than overriding it.

How It Works

BPC-157 supports the body's natural repair processes through several pathways:

  • Promoting angiogenesis — supporting the formation of new blood vessels in areas of injury, essential for healing
  • Modulating growth factor expression — particularly factors involved in tendon, ligament, and tissue remodeling
  • Supporting gut lining integrity — which is why it's often used by patients with digestive concerns
  • Calming localized inflammation without broadly suppressing the immune system

What Patients Use BPC-157 For

BPC-157 is commonly explored by patients managing soft-tissue recovery, gut health, and general resilience during active training cycles.

Tendon & Ligament Repair

Achilles, rotator cuff, tennis/golfer's elbow, knee — chronic and acute soft-tissue issues

Sports Injury Recovery

Post-injury recovery and support during heavy training or athletic seasons

Post-Surgical Healing

Supporting healing after surgical procedures — always with surgeon clearance

Gut Health

Gut lining integrity and digestive comfort, drawing on BPC-157's gastric origin

Training Resilience

General recovery support during high-load training cycles or demanding lifestyles

Overuse Injuries

Persistent discomfort from repetitive motion and overuse that hasn't fully resolved

Dosing Context

Your clinician will determine the protocol that fits your goals, your size, and the area you're targeting. The information below is provided for context — your exact dosing will be prescribed at consultation.

Each 1 mL of your vial contains 3 mg (3,000 mcg) of BPC-157, providing flexibility for a range of protocols.

Some clinicians inject closer to the affected area; others find systemic subcutaneous dosing equally effective. Your clinician will guide you based on your specific situation.

Typical Protocol Ranges

These are context ranges only. Your clinician will provide your personalized dosing instructions during consultation.

What to Expect

BPC-157 works through your body's repair pathways — changes are gradual and cumulative, but tend to be real and lasting.

  • Weeks 1–2
    Subtle early changes

Most patients notice subtle changes first — often improved sleep or a reduction in baseline gut discomfort. Tissue repair is happening but typically not yet perceptible.

  • Weeks 2–4
    Meaningful improvement begins

Many patients begin to notice meaningful change in the area they're targeting — less morning stiffness, easier movement, reduced flare-ups during activity.

  • Weeks 4–8
    Most pronounced benefits

This is typically when the most pronounced benefits show up. Patients often report being able to return to activities they had been avoiding.

  • After your course
    Sustained results

Many patients hold their gains. Some opt for periodic maintenance courses 1–2 times per year, particularly during heavy training seasons. BPC-157 supports healing — it does not replace appropriate rest, rehab, or treatment of structural injuries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is BPC-157 a steroid?
No. BPC-157 is a peptide — a short chain of amino acids — not a steroid or a hormone. It does not affect testosterone, estrogen, or growth hormone levels.
Will it show up on a drug test?
BPC-157 is on the World Anti-Doping Agency's prohibited list as of 2025. Competitive athletes subject to WADA testing should not use BPC-157. It is not typically screened for in employment drug tests.
How is it administered?
Subcutaneous injection — a small injection just under the skin, similar to insulin. Most patients self-administer at home using ultra-fine insulin syringes. Your clinician and our patient education materials will walk you through the technique.
Does it hurt?
The injections use a very thin needle and are generally well-tolerated. Most patients describe them as mild — comparable to or less uncomfortable than a flu shot.
Can I use BPC-157 with other peptides?
Yes. BPC-157 is commonly stacked with TB-500 for enhanced recovery support (available as our Wolverine blend), with GHK-Cu for skin and tissue support, or with growth hormone peptides as part of a broader protocol. Your clinician will help you build the right combination.
Are there side effects?
BPC-157 is generally well-tolerated. Mild injection site reactions (redness, slight tenderness) are the most commonly reported effects. Systemic side effects are uncommon. Discuss your full health history with your clinician to identify any individual considerations.
Is BPC-157 FDA-approved?
BPC-157 is not an FDA-approved medication. It is prescribed off-label and prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies for individual patients. Your clinician will discuss this regulatory status with you during your consultation.

Who Should Not Use BPC-157

BPC-157 may not be appropriate for individuals who:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have an active cancer diagnosis or recent history of cancer (theoretical concern related to angiogenesis)
  • Are competitive athletes subject to WADA testing
  • Have specific contraindications identified during clinical evaluation

Your clinician will review your full health history during your consultation to determine candidacy.
