Recovery varies significantly between CoolPeel® and deep fractional. The timeline below covers a typical deeper Tetra session — CoolPeel® compresses these stages into just 1–3 days. Your provider will give you a personalized recovery plan at your consultation.
Warmth and pink-to-red skin
Skin feels warm — similar to a moderate sunburn — for several hours. Cooling and a barrier cream are applied before you leave. Plan a quiet evening at home.
Peak redness and mild swelling
Skin is at its most reactive: redness deepens, some swelling around the eyes is common. Gentle cleansing, occlusive moisturizer, and strict sun avoidance. No makeup yet.
Light peeling and “bronzing”
Treated skin takes on a fine sandpaper texture and a bronzed look as outer cells slough. Do not pick. Many patients can return to work between day 5 and day 7.
Pink “new skin” and makeup-ready
